This view of Crestone Needle and Crestone Peak represents the first road trip I took in Colorado. Looking back, it was one of the experiences that inspired me to move here back in 2015. It was a solo trip to the small town of Crestone and the surrounding Sangre de Cristo Mountains, where I met many kind people and experienced the awesome sight of these 14,000ft peaks at sunrise. I had to pack up my campsite in the middle of the night due to flooding, but it was well worth it.
